reddit krita unable to update to 4.2

I just updated to 4.2.1 yesterday as supposedly that was the "latest version" I could find from all the bug reports I had to sift through. coding new things, and there was HDR.).ĭo I have to stay totally up to date with my version for things to work properly? I can't get Krita to stay open for more than 2 minutes. unless we stop making new features (we kinda stopped this year because of our last fundraiser, which goal was bugfixes (so none of paid developers was making new features, but fixing bugs), but still we have volunteers etc. But for now there is no need, so we can keep releasing new bugfixes :)Īnd, basically, every new features brings more bugs, so.

If the code is changed too much, we can't make more stable releases, then we just focus to make a new major version (like right now Boud is focusing on making resource rework (brushes, tagging, etc.) for 4.3.0). It's more like, if our master branch (where all code happens check out Krita Next for new features and such) is not too far away from our stable branch (the one that we make releases off of, you can check our Krita Plus to see the newest bug fixes there). Releasing doesn't take that much out of programming time. In a hypothetical future where bugs are strongly diminished, do you plan on slowing down the frequence of releases in favor of "solidifying" Krita, or the plan is to keep the release frequency no matter what?
